Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Meedji and establish the legal framework for our relationship with users, service providers, and product sellers.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Meedji ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

Legal Agreement

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Meedji Ghana Ltd. By creating an account or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • • You must have the legal capacity to enter into contracts
  • • You must not be prohibited from using our services under Ghana law
  • • You must provide accurate and complete information
2. Description of Services

Meedji is an online platform that connects customers with service providers and product sellers across Ghana. We facilitate these connections but are not a party to the actual transactions.

Platform Services Include:

  • • Product marketplace and listings
  • • User profiles and verification system
  • • Messaging and communication tools
  • • Rating and review system
  • • Payment processing facilitation
  • • Customer support services
What We Don't Provide:
  • • Direct service provision
  • • Product manufacturing or sales
  • • Quality guarantees for third-party services
  • • Insurance for transactions
  • • Legal advice or representation
  • • Dispute resolution services
Important Notice

Meedji acts as an intermediary platform. We do not employ service providers or sell products directly. All transactions are between users and service providers/sellers.

3. User Accounts
Account Creation and Management:
  • • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • • One person may only maintain one account unless specifically authorized
  • • You may not transfer your account to another person without our consent

Verification Process:
  • • Identity verification may be required
  • • Professional credentials verification for service providers

4. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension:

Fraudulent Activities:
  • • Providing false or misleading information
  • • Creating fake profiles or reviews
  • • Impersonating other users or businesses
  • • Payment fraud or chargebacks
  • • Price manipulation or bid rigging
Harmful Behavior:
  • • Harassment, threats, or abusive language
  • • Discrimination based on protected characteristics
  • • Spam or unsolicited communications
  • • Sharing inappropriate or offensive content
  • • Violating others' privacy or intellectual property
Technical Violations:
  • • Attempting to hack or compromise the platform
  • • Using automated tools or bots
  • • Circumventing security measures
  • • Reverse engineering our software
  • • Interfering with platform operations
Legal Violations:
  • • Illegal activities or services
  • • Violation of Ghana laws and regulations
  • • Infringement of intellectual property rights
  • • Money laundering or terrorist financing
  • • Tax evasion or regulatory violations
5. Payments and Fees
Platform Fees:
Service Providers
  • • Basic membership: Free
  • • Transaction fee: 5% of completed jobs
  • • Premium features: GH₵50/month
  • • Featured listings: GH₵20/month
Product Sellers
  • • Basic listings: Free
  • • Transaction fee: 3% of sales
  • • Premium store: GH₵100/month
  • • Promoted products: GH₵10/product/month
Payment Methods:
  • • Mobile Money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo)
  • • Bank transfers and direct deposits
  • • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • • Digital wallets and online banking
Payment Terms:
  • • Fees are charged automatically when transactions occur
  • • Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance
  • • Refunds are subject to our refund policy
  • • Failed payments may result in service suspension
  • • All prices are in Ghana Cedis (GH₵) unless otherwise stated
Payment Security

All payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment processors. We do not store your complete payment information on our servers.

6. Content and Intellectual Property
User-Generated Content:
  • • You retain ownership of content you create and upload
  • • You grant us a license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform
  • • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to all content you upload
  • • You must not upload copyrighted material without permission
  • • We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable laws
Platform Intellectual Property:
  • • Meedji owns all platform software, design, and trademarks
  • • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content
  • • Our logo and branding elements are protected trademarks
  • • You may not create derivative works based on our platform
Content Standards

All content must be accurate, respectful, and comply with Ghana laws. Content that is false, misleading, offensive, or illegal will be removed.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Account Termination

Termination by Us:

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

  • • Violate these Terms of Service
  • • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • • Fail to pay required fees
  • • Pose a risk to other users or the platform
  • • Provide false information during verification
Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease, but these Terms will continue to apply to any outstanding obligations or disputes.

9. Limitation of Liability

Platform Disclaimer:
  • • Meedji is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user content
  • • We are not responsible for the quality of services provided by third parties
  • • We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted
Limitation of Damages:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meedji shall not be liable for:

  • • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • • Damages arising from third-party services or products
  • • Damages exceeding the fees paid to us in the past 12 months
User Responsibility:
  • • You are responsible for evaluating service providers and products
  • • You should verify credentials and qualifications independently
  • • You assume all risks associated with transactions
  • • You should maintain appropriate insurance coverage
10. Dispute Resolution
Dispute Resolution Process:

First, try to resolve disputes directly with the other party through our messaging system.

Platform Mediation

If direct resolution fails, contact our support team for assistance and mediation.

Legal Action

As a last resort, disputes may be resolved through Ghana's legal system.

Governing Law:

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ghana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

We encourage the use of alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration, to resolve conflicts efficiently and cost-effectively.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices.

  • • In-app notifications for mobile users
  • • Updated "Last Modified" date at the top of these Terms
Your Options

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may terminate your account. Continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
